I-84 WB MP 7.20 to MP 5.54 Full Weekend Closures and Associated Ramp Closures (Portland)

PORTLAND – Effective June 23, I-84 westbound between milepost 5.54 and 7.20 will be closed all weekend starting Friday at 12:00 p.m. (noon) through Monday morning at 5:00 a.m. The following ramps will be closed during the same time. The estimated completion date for this work is June 26, 2023.

  • I-84 WB on-ramp from Fairview Pkwy
  • I-84 WB on-ramps from NE 181st Ave

The I-84 WB on-ramp from NE 102nd Ave will be closed nightly, Sunday through Thursday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and Saturday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. These restrictions are necessary for a bridge joint replacement and deck overlay work, and will occur again July 7 through July 10.

 

Detour

When I-84 westbound is closed motor carrier can take I-205 south to I-84 west. When NE 102nd Avenue on-ramp to I-84 westbound is closed, motor carriers continue to NE Glisan Street to I-205 north, and I-84 west. When NE 181st Avenue on-ramp to I-84 westbound is closed, motor carriers can go north on Fairview Parkway to US30 Bypass, Sandy Boulevard, to I-205 south and on to I-84 west, and when I-84 westbound on-ramp from Fairview Parkway is closed, motor carriers can take 181st to Fairview pkwy.
