Full road closure starts May 8 – use alternate routes
We've been working to repair the I-5 connector bridge. Our next stage is to replace the bridge surface and pave approaching road. To do this we're closing the road for 10 days.
We estimate the road closure to start on May 8, but the work is weather dependent and the schedule may change. TripCheck will have the most current information on traffic impacts.

Plan ahead
During the closure there are alternate routes and detours for passenger cars and freight trucks.
Detour and alternate route map.
About the project
We are:
- Repairing the concrete bridge deck and installing a protective overlay to prevent future damage.
- Building ADA compliant access ramps at each corner of the bridge.
- Repairing and strengthening the bridge abutments on both ends, where the road meets the bridge.
- Installing new guardrails to meet current standards.
