We're working on OR 58

This week you may see us out on OR 58 removing trees and clearing vegetation to prepare for the culvert repair and replacement project.

There are 54 culverts that are in poor or critical condition and need to fixed or replaced to address water flow or fish passage.

We're working this week, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from mile point 15.5 to 37.7. Next week you may see utility work in anticipation for construction to start on April 3.

When construction starts you can expect:

Shoulder closures.
Single lane closures weekdays between 6 a.m. - 7 p.m. with flagging.
Up to three work zones.
Potential delays up to 20 minutes.
Construction noise.

We're also constructing on OR 58 this year:

Seismic retrofit of four bridges. Improvements will be made to these four bridges so they can remain passable after an earthquake.
Paving project. When the weather is warmer, we will install permanent striping, signs and reflectors in the paving project area from the tunnel to milepost 70.
