SEACT and NEACT hold joint ACT meeting March 16 in La Grande and Burns

La Grande – Members of the North East Area Commission on Transportation (NEACT) and the South East Area Commission on Transportation (SEACT) will be holding a joint ACT meeting March 16. The meeting will be held in person at two locations (La Grande and Burns) and virtually via TEAMS. The meeting is open to the public and will include a presentation on Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) projects proposed for the 2024-2027 construction cycle. The list of STIP projects includes over 60 proposed for the eastern Oregon area. Interested parties are encouraged to join this meeting to hear about these projects and provide comments. Time has been set aside for public feedback.

An Area Commission on Transportation is an advisory body chartered by the Oregon Transportation Commission to help address all aspects of transportation. The North East Area Commission on Transportation is comprised of community leaders and other stakeholders from Morrow, Umatilla, Wallowa, Union, and Baker Counties, as well as the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. The South East Area Commission on Transportation is comprised of community leaders and other stakeholders from Malheur, Grant, and Harney counties, as well as the Burns-Paiute Tribe.
