ODOT seeks public comments on updates to Oregon Freight Plan

Trucks on I-5 near Ashland

Dec. 23, 2022

We’re updating the Oregon Freight Plan — Oregon’s 2035 vision for a reliable, multimodal freight transportation system — and we want to hear from you.

Read the draft plan online
Visit the Oregon Freight Plan updates webpage to read a summary of updates, and the full draft plan and appendixes.

What’s changed for 2022?
This year’s updates are deliberately minor: updating data, correcting outdated information, and ensuring the plan complies with current federal regulations.

The updates are minor because we’re also updating the Oregon Transportation Plan and the Oregon Highway Plan. Both plans will have big impacts on freight policy, so we’re waiting until after those plans’ updates are complete. Then we’ll do a thorough update to the Oregon Freight Plan in 2026. (Updates run on a four-year cycle.)
