Drilling in downtown Pendleton.

Weekend drilling activities in downtown Pendleton will close lanes, parking spots

Drilling activities will be performed on the corners of Southwest Court Avenue and Southwest First Street, and Southwest Dorian Avenue and Southwest First Street are planned for the next two weekends, October 14-16 and October 21-23.

Watch for lane closures and temporary parking closures in these locations. Sidewalk detours will also be in place. Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around our work zones.

Why are we drilling?

Existing poles and span wires holding the traffic signals at these intersections are old and do not meet current safety standards. Pre-construction drilling activities will determine ground conditions and placement of new signal poles.

When will construction take place?

Project design will be completed by the end of 2023, with construction scheduled for 2024.
