2022 – 2024 COVID Relief Discretionary Grant Awards

ODOT Public Transportation Division (PTD) has announced the award of nearly $5 million through the 2022 – 2024 COVID Relief Discretionary Grant Program. These awards support the preservation of services, retention of drivers and critical personnel, and costs associated with responding to, and recovering from, the global pandemic. The complete list of awards is available here: Projects approved for COVID Relief Discretionary Funding.

PTD will complete grant agreements for the awarded projects in Fall 2022.

The COVID Relief Discretionary Grant Program continues needs-based relief funding to prevent service reductions (or discontinuation of services) resulting from the effects of COVID-19. PTD’s COVID Relief Discretionary Grant Program is comprised of the following sources:

  • Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES), 2020: $2.5 million
  • Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA), 2020: $2.5 million
  • American Rescue Plan Act (ARP), 2021: $9.1 million

PTD will conduct another solicitation for the remaining COVID Relief Discretionary Grant Program funds in 2023.
