The closures for maintenance work will now take place Friday night May 20 and Saturday night May 21
The closures planned for this weekend along Interstate 5 between the Marquam and Fremont bridges have been postponed for a week.
Crews had planned overnight maintenance work Friday and Saturday nights including lighting upgrades, graffiti clean-up and road deck improvements.
The work has been rescheduled to take place next weekend.
Here is the new closure schedule.
- 9 p.m. Friday, May 20 to 6 a.m. Saturday, May 21, northbound I-5 will be closed from the Marquam Bridge to the Fremont Bridge. Northbound traffic will be directed onto northbound Interstate 405. The on-ramps from westbound Interstate 84 and the Morrison Bridge will also close.
- 9 p.m. Saturday, May 21 to 6 a.m. Sunday, May 22, southbound I-5 will be closed from the Fremont Bridge to the Marquam Bridge. Southbound traffic will be directed onto I-405. The on-ramps from the Rose Quarter and from westbound I-84 will also be closed.
