Interstate 5 – Pacific Highway – Rose Quarter Investigations
Project Description: This project will conduct utility mapping, hazardous materials and soil sampling in the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project area along I-5.

Interstate 5 – Pacific Highway – SW Portland Ramp Improvements
Project Description: ODOT is repairing three ramps that access I-5 in SW Portland. These structural improvements will maintain and extend the life of our roadway system and give travelers a smoother ride.
Traffic Impacts: Nighttime single and double lane closures on I-5 south from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Interstate 5 – Pacific Highway – Paving from I-205 to Wilsonville
Project Description: ODOT is repaving 5 miles of I-5 between the I-205 interchange and the Boone Bridge over the Willamette River.
Traffic Impacts: Nighttime single lane closures on I-5 north and south from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Interstate 84 – Columbia River Highway – Mitchell Point Tunnel
Project Description: The iconic Mitchell Point Tunnel was a highlight of the original Historic Highway, but the construction of Interstate 84 destroyed the tunnel. Now, we are constructing a new tunnel and Historic Highway State Trail segment adjacent to I-84 east near Exit 58.
Traffic Impacts: Rolling slowdown on Thursday. I-84 Exit 58 to Mitchell Point Overlook closed around-the-clock.

Interstate 84 – Columbia River Highway – Viento State Park to Mitchell Point Trail
Project Description: This 2.7-mile segment of trail connects the existing Historic Highway State Trail at the Viento Trailhead to Mitchell Point and includes reconnecting 0.67 miles of original sections of the Historic Highway.
Traffic impacts: 24/7 eastbound lane closure on I-84 near Viento State Park.

Interstate 84 – Columbia River Highway – Ruthton Park to Hood River
Project Description: Field work for the design of the final segment of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail from Ruthton Park to Hood River is underway.
Traffic impacts: Single lane closures on I-84 west between Mitchell Point and Hood River Monday through noon Friday and I-84 east beginning Wednesday.
Shoulder closures on off-ramps.

Interstate 84 – Columbia River Highway – Forest Lane Bridge Raising
Project Description: In Cascade Locks, ODOT is raising the Forest Lane bridge over Interstate 84 to accommodate tall or over-height trucks.
Traffic impacts: Around-the-clock lane closures on I-84 east and west. Forest Lane Bridge closed over I-84.

Interstate 84 – Columbia River Highway – A Better Red (TriMet)
Project description: TriMet is constructing a new bridge over I-84 at Gateway as part of its Better Red Project.
Traffic impacts: Shoulder closure on I-205 north between Glisan Street and Exit 22, on I-84 east and west and Exit 7.

Interstate 205 – East Portland Freeway – Exit Ramps at Division Street
Project Description: ODOT is improving safety around the intersection of I-205, SE Division Street and SE 96th Avenue through lane and ramp reconfigurations, signal improvements, new accessible curb ramps, and buffered bike lanes.

U.S. 26 – Sunset Highway – Cornell Road to Sylvan interchange paving project
Project Description: We are improving approximately six miles of U.S. 26 by repaving both directions from Cornell Road to the Sylvan interchange, including several on- and off-ramps. We are also repairing bridges and bridge joints in the project area and upgrading curb ramps at each repaved on- and off-ramp to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

U.S. 26 – Mt. Hood Highway – Ten Eyck Road/Wolf Drive to Vista Loop Drive sidewalk
Project description: We are installing over half a mile of six-foot-wide sidewalk on the north side of U.S. 26 between Ten Eyck Road/Wolf Drive and Vista Loop Drive on the east edge of Sandy to give people a safe place to walk and roll.
Traffic impacts: Daytime single lane closure on U.S. 26 west.

U.S. 30 – NW Bridge Ave – Rockfall emergency repairs
Project description: ODOT is performing emergency repair work resulting from a rockfall that occurred on January 5, 2022. The rockfall occurred along the hillside next to NW Bridge Avenue (US 30 Bypass) southeast of the St. Johns Bridge.
Traffic impacts: NW Bridge Avenue east and westbound, east of the St. Johns Bridge is closed 24/7 until late March/early April 2022.

U.S. 30 BY – N Lombard Street – Safety Project
Project description: ODOT is building safety and travel-time predictability improvements for all travelers along U.S. 30 Bypass/North Lombard Street between North Fiske Avenue and North Boston Avenue. Construction impacts include lane closures through summer 2022.
Traffic impacts: 24/7 lane closures and periodic shoulder closures.

U.S. 30 BY – NE Sandy Boulevard – Enhanced crossing at 108th Ave
Project description: ODOT is installing an enhanced pedestrian crossing with flashing lights that alert drivers that people are crossing the street on U.S. 30 Bypass (Northeast Sandy Boulevard) at Northeast 108th Avenue. Construction impacts include lane closures through early 2022.

Oregon 8 – Adair and Baseline Streets – Sidewalk curb ramps
Project Description: This project rebuilds sidewalk curb ramps along OR 8 from N. 17th Avenue to Yew Street to meet ADA accessibility standards.

Oregon 8 – Tualatin Valley Highway – Safety improvements project
Project Description: This project will replace traffic lights, pedestrian signals, railroad markings and improve illumination at the intersection of OR 8 and River Road in Hillsboro. These improvements will make the intersection safer for people walking, rolling, riding bicycles, driving motor vehicles and operating freight trains.
Traffic Impacts: Nighttime single lane closures on OR 8 in both directions from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Daytime shoulder closures.

Oregon 99E – Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard – Bridge Rail Retrofit
Project Description: ODOT is increasing safety on Oregon 99E, also known as Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at the bridge over the railroad tracks just north of U.S. 30 Bypass/Lombard Street. The project will install an additional bridge rail and protective screening onto the historic structure.
Traffic Impacts: Nighttime single lane closures on OR 99E south beginning at 7 p.m.

Oregon 99E – SE McLoughlin Boulevard – Enhanced crossings at Boardman and Hull
Project Description: ODOT is installing enhanced pedestrian crossings with flashing lights that alert drivers that people are crossing the street at five intersections, including two on OR 99E: SE Boardman Avenue and SE Hull Avenue. Construction impacts include lane and sidewalk closures through summer 2022.

Oregon 99W – SW Barbur Boulevard – Barbur Crossroads Project
Project Description: This project improves safety where Barbur Boulevard, Capitol Highway and Taylors Ferry meet with new pedestrian and bike facilities and a traffic signal change.
Traffic Impacts: Daytime and nighttime single lane closures. Shoulder and sidewalk closures with pedestrian detours.

Oregon 212 – Clackamas-Boring Highway – Improvements
Project Description: This project on OR 212 from I-205 to U.S. 26 through Damascus and Boring includes paving, upgrading accessible sidewalk ramps and installing a new bridge at North Fork Deep Creek. Work will be complete in fall 2021.
Traffic Impacts: Day and nighttime lane closures on OR 212 between I-205 and U.S. 26.
Daytime lane closures with traffic shifts from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Nighttime lane closures, traffic shifts and flaggers directing traffic from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Oregon 213 – 82nd Avenue – Enhanced crossings at Pacific and Mitchell
Project Description: ODOT is installing enhanced pedestrian crossings with flashing lights that alert drivers that people are crossing the street at five intersections, including two on 82nd Avenue: NE Pacific Street and SE Mitchell Street. Construction impacts include lane and sidewalk closures through summer 2022.
Traffic Impacts: Sidewalk closures with pedestrian detours on SE 82nd Avenue at SE Mitchell Street.

Oregon 217 – Beaverton-Tigard Highway – Auxiliary Lanes
Project Description: This project will address long-standing congestion on OR 217 between Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and OR 99W due to too many closely spaced interchanges: 10 interchanges in just over seven miles! This is some of the shortest merging spacing in the region.
Traffic impacts: Left-turns closed to/from the Allen Boulevard southbound ramps 24/7 through June 2022.
Auxiliary lane closed on OR 217 southbound between Scholls Ferry Road and Greenburg Road on Thursday, March 24. Around-the-clock auxiliary lane closed on OR 217 southbound between Greenburg Road and OR 99W the week of March 21.
Daytime shoulder closures on OR 217 and on the following local roads near the highway ramps: Allen Boulevard, Hall Boulevard, Scholls Ferry Road and Greenburg Road.
Several OR 217 on- and off-ramps have narrowed lanes, but remain open. Around-the-clock closure of the existing southbound auxiliary lane between SW Hall Boulevard and SW Scholls Ferry Road for 3-4 months. Short-term pedestrian detours on the north side of Hall Boulevard between Scholls Ferry Road and OR 217.

Various Highways – Portland metropolitan bridge screening and rail retrofit
Project Description: This project will improve safety on twelve bridges over ODOT highways in the Portland metro area by installing new fencing that will prevent fallen or thrown objects from hitting the highways below. We will also install new railings on four bridges to bring the bridges up to current safety standards. Bridges are in Portland, Hillsboro, Milwaukie, Boring, and Lake Oswego and Tigard.
Traffic impacts: Nighttime lane closures on I-5 and nighttime ramp closure at Exit 305B from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
24/7 single lane closure on westbound N Lombard Street over I-5 and on N Alberta Street over I-5.
