Construction scheduled to begin week of January 31.

Work in downtown Pendleton is scheduled to begin the week of January 31 and continue through April. We will be at the intersection of U.S. 30/SE Court Avenue and SE 1st Street to upgrade traffic signals and ADA curb ramps.

Crews will also be removing traffic and pedestrian signals at the intersections of Dorian Avenue and SE 1^st and SW 4^th streets.

Project location for U.S. 30: Signal and ADA upgrades (Pendleton).

What you can expect during construction

During construction, we will keep impacts to a minimum. Motorists will be able to use U. S. 30, but SE 1st Street access will be limited near the intersection. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.

For drivers:

• U.S. 30/SE Court Avenue: Expect intermittent single lane closures. Expect up to 20-minute delays.
• SE First Street: Expect intermittent closures on SE 1st Street for through traffic at the SE Court Street intersection. Use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
• Watch for signs and intermittent flaggers through the work zone. Slow down and be safe.

For pedestrians and bicycles:

• Sidewalk closures and detours leading up to the intersection.
• Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available through or around the work zone. We will have pedestrian detours and signage in place.
• Bicyclists will follow vehicle or pedestrian routes.

Businesses:

• Businesses will remain open during construction.

Project schedule

Crews are scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Times are approximate.

We anticipate completing the project by the end of April.
