Check online before going to CCD

Jan. 14, 2022, News Release Number: 220114CCD1

For CCD media inquiries contact: Tom Strandberg 541-663-6261, email: thomas.m.strandberg@odot.oregon.gov .

If you need service from the Oregon Commerce and Compliance Division, even if you already set an appointment, be sure to check online before you visit our registration offices. This is especially important during winter when our offices may need to close without notice due to weather or staffing shortages – or both.

“Weather and staffing challenges may cause occasional office closures,” CCD Administrator Amy Ramsdell said. “This winter CCD is experiencing the same kind of staff shortages and hiring challenges that other retail and service industries are seeing.”

The current surge in COVID-19 infections also might further limit access to CCD offices – masks are required indoors at all CCD locations.

In the event of a closure, CCD will contact motor carriers that have appointments to reschedule. We encourage motor carriers to take advantage of Oregon Trucking Online at oregontruckingonline.com. Many services are available 24/7 including:
• Paying your taxes.
• IFTA/IRP transactions.
• Requesting over-dimension permits.

Services and support will continue to be provided by mail, email and phone.

If calling our contact center (503-378-6699) you may experience longer wait times than usual. In the coming weeks, motor carriers who did not renew their vehicles in 2021 will begin receiving notification that their credentials have been cancelled. We typically see an increase of incoming calls during this time. Our goal is to provide assistance over the phone with minimal delays.
