Full Closure – US197 NB & SB MP -0.28 to MP 0.61

THE DALLES – On September 9, this section of US197 northbound and southbound crossing the Columbia River Bridge between MP -0.28 and MP 0.61 will be closed
at all hours, Thursdays at 8 p.m. through Mondays at 6 p.m. This closure is necessary for a total deck replacement, rail upgrades, lighting, and repaving. The estimated completion date for this project is May 23, 2022.

Detour

When this section of US197 northbound and southbound is closed, motor carriers can use US97 to cross the Columbia River at Biggs Junction.
