Plan Ahead! Lane Closure in Lafayette Shifting on Monday
We're Making Progress!
If you've driven on OR 99W through Lafayette you've likely seen our crews working. Based on the progress we've made, we think we'll be done in Lafayette by the beginning of October.
The work in Lafayette is part of a larger project that is repairing and replacing poor pavement, installing signal enhancements, making pedestrian improvements and constructing ADA curb ramps between McDougall Junction to McDonald Way in McMinnville.
What to Expect Next
Starting this weekend, we will be changing our traffic control to shift to our next closure location. As we continue to work in Lafayette you can expect:
- 24/7 westbound lane closure starting at Jefferson Street to a little after Jackson Street.
- 24/7 flaggers at both ends of the closure and at some side streets to help direct traffic.
- Access to some side streets from OR 99W will be closed:
- Market Street, both on the north and south side of OR 99W.
- Madison Street on the north side of OR 99W.
- Monroe Street.
- Jackson Street.
- Local traffic driving west on 4th Street can use Adams Street to get to OR 99W.
- Access to businesses will be maintained.
- Construction noises while our crews are working Monday through Friday, from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Delays that can last 20 minutes.
- There will be times when we will need to use the travel lane to load and unload materials from our equipment which may increase delays.
Your Feedback Matters
We've heard you – we know that construction can be disruptive. We've worked with our contractor to find more efficient ways to complete the project by reducing the construction stages from three to two. This reduces our construction zone, so our contractor can be more productive improving the overall construction time!
