OR 99: Urban Upgrades

Safer for everyone!
We’ve been busy working on a project to make this section of OR 99 in Cottage Grove safer for everyone — whether you're walking, biking or driving.
Once we have finished our design, we will be ready to select a contractor to help us with construction and anticipate work starting in 2022.
We will:
- Reconfigure the existing four lane section to have one lane of traffic in each direction with a center turn lane.
- Add striping to create bike lanes.
- Construct new sidewalks with improved ADA ramps.
- Install an enhanced crosswalk with a median island and flashing lights to alert drivers that pedestrians are ahead.
- Install a new traffic signal at
W Woodson Place.
- Repave and add new permanent striping.
