BEND – A resurfacing project in Bend will require the following full closure of US97, and associated ramp closures:
Full Closure: Beginning Monday, March 15, US97 northbound and southbound between MP 134.84 and MP 141.12 in Bend will be intermittently closed Sunday through Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through April 30. Beginning May 1, 2021 this section of US97 northbound and southbound will be intermittently closed Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Ramp Closures: Beginning Monday, March 22, the following ramps will be intermittently closed Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
- US97 northbound & southbound Exit 135A on- and off-ramps to/from US20/US97
- US97 northbound & southbound Exit 135B on- and off-ramps to/from
Empire Avenue
- US97 northbound & southbound Exit 136 on- and off-ramps to/from
Butler Market Road
- US97 northbound & southbound on- and off-ramps to/from Revere Avenue
- US97 northbound & southbound Exit 138 on- and off-ramps to/from
Colorado Avenue
- US97 northbound & southbound Exit 139 on- and off-ramps to Reed Market Road
- US97 northbound & southbound on- and off-ramps to/from Powers Road
- US97 northbound Exit 141 off-ramp to 3rd Street/US97 Business
The full closure of US97 northbound and southbound along with the northbound and southbound ramps will not be closed at the same time. The estimated completion date for this project is July 22.
Detour
When this section of US97 southbound is closed, motor carriers hauling loads at 14’6” or less in height can take Exit 135A to US20/US97 Business to 3rd Street to Reed Market Road at Exit 139, or Murphy Road at Exit 141 to US97 southbound.
When this section US97 northbound is closed, motor carriers hauling loads at 14’6” or less in height can take Exit 141 to US97 Business to Reed Market Road at Exit 139, or to 3rd Street to Empire Avenue at Exit 135B, to US97 northbound.
When the above ramps are closed, there will be no local detours available. Motor carriers will need to avoid using these ramps during the restricted days/hours, or use authorized alternate routes.
