The Oregon Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system. The following roadway improvement projects are located in ODOT Region 2, Area/District 5: Lane County.
OR 126: McKenzie Highway wildfire recovery work
Project Description: Recovery work continues on OR 126 McKenzie Highway between mp 27.5 and 48 removing hazard trees, stabilizing slopes, and removing debris.
Traffic Impacts: Expect multiple work zones with lengthy delays. Many hazards remain. Take alternate routes for through travel if possible. Do not park on the shoulders. Work is expected to continue through summer 2021.

OR 58: Emergency road repair mp 55.5
Project Description: Crash mitigation following a semi crash requiring that the shoulder of the road be rebuilt and repaved and guardrail replaced.
Traffic Impacts: OR 58 will be closed from milepost 51-57, July 7, 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. for recovery of a crashed semi. For repairs beginning July 8, expect single lane traffic during daylight hours for approximately two weeks.

I-5: Culvert Repair between Woodburn and Goshen
Project Description: This project repairs or replaces 17 culverts along I-5 that are in poor or critical condition between milepost 189 and milepost 268. Work resumes July 6 at milepost 212-213. Work continues between milepost 212 to 267.
Traffic Impacts: Expect daytime inside and outside shoulder closures Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the holiday week. It is otherwise Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional nighttime lane closures may be needed. Work is expected to be completed in July 2021.

OR 126: Willamette River (WB) Bridge
Project Description: This project strengthens and repairs sidewalk support structural pieces and repaints the OR 126B Willamette River (westbound) bridge between Springfield and Glenwood.
Traffic Impacts: Work under the bridge continues with no impacts to traffic.

OR 569: Beltline/Delta Interchange Project (Eugene)
Project Description: This project reconfigures the intersection to improve safety and traffic flow.
Traffic Impacts: The new intersection from eastbound Beltline to north and southbound Delta Highway is open. Traffic is controlled by a new traffic light on Delta Highway.
Most work affecting traffic occurs at nights: southbound Delta to eastbound Beltline ramp closures and detours to place barrier and guardrail, and eastbound Beltline lane closures for median barrier work. Daytime crews are building the approach to the new bridge for the off-ramp from northbound Delta to westbound Beltline.
Closure of the current northbound Delta ramp to westbound Beltline will begin Sunday night, July 18 and continue to Wednesday, July 28. Traffic will be detoured to turn left at Green Acres onto the ramp to westbound Beltline. This turn will only be in place for the detour period.

OR 126: Florence – Eugene Highway Shoulder Widening Project
Project Description: Construction work on OR 126 between mileposts 36 and 36.7. This project will widen the shoulders to 4 feet on each side, with guardrail and concrete barrier installed on the downhill side.
Traffic Impacts: The westbound passing lane remains closed through the project. No work on Monday July 5 because of the Holiday. Earth work is underway on the uphill side, Tuesday - Friday next week, and Monday – Friday after that. Watch for trucks entering and leaving the project.

U.S. 101: Cape Creek Bridge (North of Florence)
Project Description: A new corrosion protection system is being installed, along with bridge repairs.
Traffic Impacts: Minimal impacts as crews finishing up installing corrosion protection system under the bridge.

U.S. 101: Munsel Lake Rd to OR 126, Curb Ramps (Florence)
Project Description: This project will rebuild approximately 102 existing street corners, including flashing beacon crossings, along U.S. 101 in Florence from 10th Street to Munsel Lake Road.
Traffic Impacts: The first phase of new ADA ramps is complete. The second phase begins in late August 2021.

U.S. 101: Devil’s Lake Outlet, Schooner Creek and Siltcoos River Bridges
Project Description: This project will repair and install corrosion protection on the three bridges.
Traffic Impacts: Closures and work are weather dependent.
Siltcoos River Bridge: Concrete repair and reinforcement work is underway under the bridge. The east rail is under construction. There will be night work with intermittent lane closures. Flagger will be controlling traffic. Expect minor delays.
