ODOT PROJECT UPDATE:

McCullough Bridge lane closures begin tonight

NORTH BEND -- U.S. 101 motorists should expect weeknight lane closures across McCullough Bridge the next few months starting tonight, May 5.

The lane closures will extend from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning each week until September. An automated flagging system will provide traffic control. Expect delays up to 20 minutes.

The lane closures will allow prime contractor Vimas Painting Company to touch up the paint on the steel truss above the road surface. Vimas recently completed painting the truss below the deck.

All work on the three-year $31 million project is scheduled to be completed this fall.
