Width Restriction on US26 and US30 (Hood to Coast)

PORTLAND – On August 27, 2021, the annual Hood to Coast Relay will begin at Timberline Lodge, about 90 miles east of Portland, and proceed to Seaside. The event is estimated to be completed on August 28, 2021. Refer to http://www.hoodtocoast.com for additional information about this event.

12’ Width Restriction: Beginning August 27, 2021 at 5 AM, US26 westbound between MP 32.47 and MP 30.43 (east of Portland, in the Cherryville area), will be restricted to 12 feet 00 in. in width. The restriction is estimated to be lifted on August 27, 2021 at 7:45 PM.

14’ Width Restriction: Beginning August 27, 2021 at 2:45 AM, US30 westbound between MP 12.5 and MP 12.7 (south of Scappoose) will be restricted to 14 feet 00 in. in width.
The restriction is estimated to be lifted on August 28, 2021 at 3 AM.

Significant congestion: Significant congestion and delay is expected on the following state highways, especially in the westbound direction:

  • OR173 (Timberline Hwy) from Timberline Lodge to
  • US26 from Timberline Hwy to
  • OR212 from Compton Rd to SE 272nd Avenue (Boring).
  • US30 from Kittridge Ave (NE Portland) to Pittsburgh Road (St Helens).
  • OR47 from Apiary Road to OR202 (Mist).
  • OR202 from OR47 (Mist) to

 

Detour

No local detours available. Motor carriers will need to avoid traveling through these areas during the restricted days/hours, be prepared for significant congestion and delay, or use authorized alternate routes.
