Use alternate route, no turn around or local detour at closure
U.S. 20 is closed both directions to all traffic near mile post 217, 6 miles west of Harper, due to a truck that crashed into a bridge. There is no detour or turn around near the closure. Use alternate routes. Signs will be posted in Vale, Juntura and Burns advising of the full closure. The highway is expected to be closed most of the day (five hours or longer if significant damage to the bridge is discovered by our bridge inspectors).
