Preparing to report infrastructure conditions

cracked pavement

As we recover from the devastating wildfires, we know that many cities and counties like us here at ODOT are assessing damage to roads and infrastructure. You can use this as an opportunity to gather information in preparation for submitting your HB 2017 road and bridge condition information in February.

Keep Oregon Moving, also known as HB 2017, the transportation funding package passed by the legislature a few years ago requires all counties and cities to report on the condition of their roads and bridges every two years. ODOT has to post this information online. Two years have flown by and it’s time to start preparing to report.

Resources available

We’ve boiled the process down to three easy steps. Use our guide and resources to help gather information. When the reporting forms become available later this fall you’ll be ready to enter the data.

Bridge conditions

Keep Oregon Moving requires cities and counties to report bridge conditions, whether or not the bridges are on federal-aid highways. Good news, ODOT inspects all bridges and maintains the data. You don’t have to worry about inspecting your bridges. Later this fall we’ll send you a report that lists the bridges in your city or county and the condition of each bridge. You can use the ODOT report as a resource with you fill in the online form.
