ODOT, in partnership with the City of Cascade Locks,
is improving the operations, accessibility and safety of
Wa Na Pa Street in downtown Cascade Locks.

Paving begins on Wa Na Pa

With sidewalk curb ramp work nearly complete, crews are preparing to pave Wa Na Pa Street between Bridge of the Gods and Forest Lane.

This work includes re-striping the roadway, including six marked crosswalks.

Construction information

Travelers should expect lane closures or shifts on Wa Na Pa Street and on-street parking closures during paving. Flaggers may need to direct traffic on weekdays.

Short-term detours may be in place for side streets at their intersection with Wa Na Pa.

Nighttime noise

Work may take place at night and during the day on weekdays throughout paving. Those working or living in the area may hear the noise. The noisiest work will occur during the day, with paving occurring at night between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m.

A 24/7 noise hotline is available for noise questions or comments at: 503-294-1337.

Schedule

Construction is planned for May through fall 2020. Paving will take up to several weeks to complete and is scheduled to begin in late-September.

Check TripCheck.com for up-to-date traffic impacts during construction.

Schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.
