Our Bridge Preservation and Design Unit is hiring!

We are seeking a structural designer to join our team! In this role, you will design bridges and other highway and transportation related structures to solve engineering problems. You will also provide structural analysis, design services and technical guidance within our agency. Apply today!

What we need:

Completion of and passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and one year of experience applying professional engineering theory, principles and methods.

Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. 

What we’d like to see:

  • One year of experience applying professional engineering theory, principles and methods in civil or structural design.
  • College coursework or degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Experience designing non-bridge highway and transportation-related structures (e.g., retaining walls, culverts, overhead sign supports).
  • Experience designing simple to moderately complex bridges.
  • Construction experience.
