Roadwork Ahead – We’re Installing Rumble Strips!

We've completed 9 out of the 19 routes so far!

Take a look at where we've been and what routes are coming up. We have created a map of the routes so you can see where they are being installed.

Project Area Table and Map

About:

We are installing rumble strips in various locations in the Willamette Valley and northwest Oregon. Rumble strips are grooves in the pavement that create vibration and sound to alert motorists when they are leaving a lane.

When:

Construction started early this summer, the table above shows you which routes have been completed!

Work will be done day and night. We will update TripCheck.com weekly with location information as the project progresses.

Traffic Impacts:

During construction there will be localized noise as the rumble strips are ground into the pavement by machinery. Once they rumble strips are installed, we will then chip seal the area.

Access to highways will not be affected. Motorists should however anticipate temporary lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic, creating short delays.
