What is the Urban Mobility Office?

Our Urban Mobility Office delivers the design, development and implementation of complex multimodal transportation mega projects and systems for the most densely populated and fastest growing geographical region in the state.

The office includes the Tolling/Value Pricing Program, Mega Project Delivery Program and Public Affairs for each program. In addition, the office includes a large consultant staff to successfully deliver the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the state.

Associate in Engineering 2 Underfill Option

In this role, you will provide technical expertise in the design and development of plans, specifications and cost estimates for work zone traffic control and staging specific to the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project.


What is an underfill option?

The Rose Quarter Roadway Engineer and Rose Quarter Traffic Control Plan Engineer are at a professional engineer 1 level - a professional engineer (PE) license is required in order to meet the minimum qualifications. However, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for an associate in engineering 2 to apply, as we may consider underfilling the position until the selected candidate acquires a professional engineer's license. 

To be eligible for the associate in engineering 2 underfill option, a candidate must have passed the PE exam at time of application and must have their valid PE license (the ability to stamp) within 24 months of hire.
