Enterprise DMV opens for appointments

June 10, 2020

The Enterprise DMV Field Office is now accepting appointments for in-person visits that start July 21. You can now schedule an appointment online at DMV2U.Oregon.gov.

The COVID-19 backlog is so large that DMV will continue through the summer accepting appointments only for these services:

  • Driver license, permit and ID card issuances – including the Real ID option and commercial driving privileges
  • Driver knowledge tests – passenger, commercial and motorcycle
  • Disabled parking permits
  • Farm endorsements
  • VIN inspections – no appointment necessary at some offices – find the nearest at OregonDMV.com

When you arrive for your appointment, please wear a mask or facial covering. Vehicle title and registration transactions must be mailed to DMV Headquarters if they cannot be done online.

DMV is not accepting appointment requests by phone until further notice. Call centers are very busy responding to other questions.

A law enforcement grace period on expired licenses and vehicle registration has been in effect since early this spring. The special legislative session set a date of Dec. 31, 2020, for law enforcement not to cite and courts not to convict anyone for driving with an expired license.

New online services

Many services are available online at DMV2U.Oregon.gov. Several more went online July 6, including:

  • Replace your lost, stolen or damaged card (with the same expiration date)
  • Pay your reinstatement fee
  • Order your driving record
  • Schedule an appointment at a field office

Offices limited at least through summer

With the backlog from COVID-19 and the busy summer season, it is likely to take months to catch up with demand. Please be patient as you wait for your appointment date or if you need to call DMV.

As DMV begins catching up, we continue to ask customers to try to get what they need online or by mail, or to delay their visit as long as possible.
