Marion, Polk, Linn, and Yamhill Counties state highway construction update: July 4-11

OR 22: Joseph Street – Golf Club Road Paving

Project Description: This project will pave the roadway and make bridge structure surface improvements.

Traffic Impacts:  Periodic lane closures, both during the day and at night.

Work will be done:

  • Daily, Monday through Friday, between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Nightly, Sunday nights through Friday morning, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

OR 18:

Wilsonville Road Realignment (Newberg-Dundee Bypass Phase 1W)

Project Description: This project will realign Wilsonville Road so that it connects to OR 219 about 750 feet south of Wynooski Road. Work includes building a two-lane roadway, installing drainage facilities, removing traffic separators on Springbrook Road and other related work.

Traffic Impacts:  Motorists should expect a new traffic pattern. Wilsonville Rd now connects to OR219 south of Wynooski Rd and will no longer be directly accessible from Springbrook Rd. Message boards are installed along Wilsonville Rd, Springbrook Rd, and OR219 to help navigate the change.

There will be intermittent flagger controlled lane closures on Wilsonville Road Monday through Friday 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

When we are working on OR 219, expect delays Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Sunday night through Friday morning between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The work will require flagger controlled lane closures.

OR 22: Rickreall Interchange – Independence Highway Paving

Project Description: This project will repave the roadway and make bridge structure surface improvements, replace bridge rail, guard rail and pavement markings.

Traffic Impacts: Periodic lane closures, both during the day and at night.

  • Daily, Monday morning through Friday afternoon between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Nightly, Sunday night through Friday morning, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

OR 99W: Ash Swale and Plum Creek Bridge Replacements

Project Description: This project will remove and replace the existing structures at Plum Creek and Ash Swale. At the Plum Creek site, the existing bridge will be removed and replaced with a box culvert. At the Ash Swale site, the existing bridge will be removed and replaced with a new bridge.

Traffic Impacts: Motorist should expect intermittent, flagger controlled lane closures.

  • Monday through Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Monday night through Friday morning, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

I-5: Woodburn to Salem Paving Project

Project Description: This project repave 12.4 miles of I-5 and resurface six bridges between Woodburn and Salem.

Traffic Impacts: Motorist should expect lane closures at night.

  • Sunday through Friday, between 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • Saturday Nights between 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning​

Region 2 Rumble Strip Project

Project Description: ​To install rumble strips and/or improved striping and reflective pavement markers on segments of highways throughout Region 2.

Traffic Impacts: There will be short delays as flaggers control lane closures while the rumble strips are installed.

TripCheck will be kept up to date with the latest information on where the crews are working. There is a map and construction order posted on the website.
