Schedule revised for two night closures on I-205

Travelers should expect delays during the upcoming weekend night work

June 26, 2020

A revised schedule for two night closures on Interstate 205 will have an impact on travelers along the southern end of the interstate highway.

Both closures are part of a project installing new RealTime traveler information signs in the corridor.

Here is the updated schedule.

  • All southbound I-205 lanes will be closed at OR 212 starting at 11:59 p.m. Saturday night June 27 and again Sunday night June 28 although one lane will close each night at 10 p.m. and a second lane at 11 p.m. The lanes will re-open by 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday mornings, June 28 and 29. The work, which will allow crews to install new advisory speed signs on a sign bridge, had originally been scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights.
  • All northbound lanes of I-205 will be closed for one additional night, from 11 p.m. Friday June 26 to 5 a.m. Saturday June 27 while crews mount signs on the Stafford Road overpass. The work had been scheduled to conclude after the closure Thursday night June 25 but an additional night is needed to complete the effort.
