Isthmus Slough Bridge work will delay traffic Thursday night

COOS BAY – Painting work will require intermittent closures of the Isthmus Slough Bridge on Thursday night, June 4, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Motorists traveling between central Coos Bay and Eastside should expect delays up to 20 minutes.

The brief bridge closures will allow workers to lift the drawbridge and paint small areas that need to be touched up.

A recent project painted the steel sections of the bridge, replaced the electrical system and made several other repairs.
