Farm endorsements for agricultural trucking available through Oregon DMV
May 21, 2020
If you or your employees need a farm endorsement to drive a commercial motor vehicle for agriculture, you will be able to obtain the endorsement at Oregon DMV.
Because the farm endorsement is essential for transporting goods, you or your employee may be eligible to schedule an appointment at Oregon DMV to obtain or upgrade to a farm endorsement.
Who is eligible
Appointments are limited to individuals that qualify for a farm endorsement without testing. To qualify for a farm endorsement without testing you cannot:
- Have been convicted within the previous five years of reckless driving, DUII, failure to perform the duties of a driver involved in an accident or collisions, criminal driving while suspended or revoked, or fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer;
- Have been involved in a traffic accident and convicted of a traffic offense in connection with the accident within 2 years of the date of the application; or
- Have a lifetime CDL suspension.
How to schedule an appointment
Farm endorsement holders and new farm endorsement applicants must schedule an appointment by calling DMV at 503-945-5000 or in the Portland area at 503-299-9999.
Applicants will need to bring a completed and signed application (form 735-6776) and be otherwise qualified.
Since March 24, only six DMV offices have been offering services by appointment only for commercial driver licensing issuance
