Advisory Committee to meet virtually May 27

The Historic Columbia River Highway Advisory Committee will hold a virtual meeting in alignment with Gov. Kate Brown’s directive to "Stay Home, Save Lives," from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 27. 

The meeting will be held on WebEx.

At 12:30 p.m., we will test video and audio connections.

At 1 p.m., the meeting will begin.

On the agenda:

  • Design updates on the Historic Highway State Trail. 
  • Oneonta Tunnel Rehabilitation update. 
  • Cascade/30 Masters in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) student project.

Attendees will automatically be muted when the meeting begins. The Advisory Committee will provide opportunities for public comment. If you have a question or comment you can:

Wa Na Pa Streetscape Improvements

ODOT, in partnership with the City of Cascade Locks, is improving the operations, accessibility and safety of Wa Na Pa Street in downtown Cascade Locks.

Construction began in May and includes paving Wa Na Pa Street from just east of the Bridge of the Gods to Forest Lane (0.8 miles), constructing accessible sidewalk curb ramps at 11 intersections, and restriping the roadway and six crosswalks.

Columbia Gorge Express Performance Report Card

ODOT has finalized the Columbia Gorge Express Performance Report Card, an in-depth evaluation of the program’s first four years of service from 2016-2019. Through stakeholder interviews and analysis of over 20 metrics, the report assesses how CGE has met its goals from the program’s inception in 2016 through the transition of intercity service to Columbia Area Transit in November 2019. The full report and the executive summary are available on the bottom of the project website.
