Our Environmental and Cultural Resources Unit is hiring!

We are recruiting for an archaeologist and tribal liaison to analyze and document the impacts of transportation projects on cultural resources. In this role, you will be a staff expert in archaeology, traditional cultural properties and cultural resources. As a tribal liaison, you will maintain and build relationships with tribes and will coordinate with tribes, the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and other agencies and organizations.

What we need:

A graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology or a closely related field; AND

  • At least one (1) year of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archaeological research, administration or management;
  • At least four (4) months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archaeology; AND
  • Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.

Additionally, driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position.
