MEDFORD – Do you ever wonder where statewide transportation projects come from? Every few years the Oregon Department of Transportation creates the “Statewide Transportation Improvement Program” – known as the STIP.

Now is your chance to comment on projects in the Draft STIP for 2021-24 in the Rogue Valley, or any area of Oregon.

Visit our online open house, read about the STIP and then click on the map. You’ll find drop pins that correspond with project locations. For major projects there’ll be a link to more detailed information. Tell us what you think by submitting a comment.

One can also attend a briefing on the STIP at the next Rogue Valley Area Commission on Transportation meeting on Tuesday, March 10 shortly after 9 a.m. at the Grants Pass City Council Chamber, 101 N.W. A Street. Public comment is welcome. Comment cards will also be available.

These projects were put together in collaboration with transportation professionals and community leaders. We want to know if there are items in these projects that will affect you. What projects do you support? Are there any concerns you may have?

Let us know soon as the deadline for comments is April 10.

We believe we get the best results when we work in partnership with local communities and individuals.
