FTA Low or No Emission Bus Program 5339(c) Grant
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced a new competitive discretionary grant program for transit bus projects nationwide! The Low or No Emission Bus Program 5339(c) will award up to $130 million in federal fiscal year 2020.
The purpose of the funding is to support the transition of the nation’s transit fleet to the lowest polluting and most energy efficient transit vehicles.
Rail and Public Transit Division (RPTD) will submit a statewide application on behalf of local governmental authorities and Indian tribes; all proposals for projects in rural (non-urbanized) areas must be submitted by the State. If you intend to apply through RPTD, please notify us at PTDApplications@odot.state.or.us by Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Include the approximate grant amount you are requesting and the type of alternative fuel vehicle(s) you have selected.
To apply through RPTD, complete and submit the application with any supporting materials to PTDApplications@odot.state.or.us by Wednesday March 11, 2020. For recipients applying directly to FTA, the deadline is March 17, 2020.
