OR 228 closed in Halsey for rail crossing repair

Travelers should plan for detours

HALSEY — OR 228 Halsey-Sweet Home Highway will be closed at the rail crossing just east of OR 99 from Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11.

The crossing is closing for repairs. Local traffic will be able to access the streets on either side of the crossing. Large trucks will be detoured around the closure via OR 34 Corvallis-Lebanon Highway.

Where traffic is routed through or around a work zone, pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will also be provided routes through or around the work zone.
