Salem, Ore. – The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles meeting on August 20 has been extended by an hour to accommodate a busy agenda. The Task Force will now meet 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20 in Rooms 102/103 at the State Library of Oregon, 250 Winter St. N.E. in Salem. The Task Force will vote on subcommittee materials to be included in the report. In addition, opportunity for public comment has been moved to the beginning of the agenda.

And this meeting is now scheduled:

September 9: Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles meeting, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, September 9 in the Basement Training Rooms A/B at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem. The Task Force will vote on the final report and discuss the future of the Task Force.

 

The task force was created by House Bill 4063, which names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more. 

The agenda for all task force and subcommittee meetings will include time for public comment, which can also be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us.
