AV Task Force and two subcommittees will meet August 14, 15, 20

Salem, Ore. – The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will meet 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20 in Rooms 102/103 at the State Library of Oregon, 250 Winter St. N.E. in Salem. The Task Force will vote on subcommittee materials to be included in the report.
The following AV Task Force subcommittee meetings are scheduled:
August 14: Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Subcommittee conference call, 2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 14. This meeting will be primarily a conference call, but subcommittee members and members of the public are welcome to attend in person at Room 240 at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem.
The subcommittee will review the revised document “Information on Privacy Principles.” Note that this conference call may be canceled if subcommittee members vote that it is not necessary during the Joint Meeting on Data, which is scheduled for earlier in the day on August 14.
August 15: Workforce Changes Subcommittee conference call, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, August 15. This meeting will be primarily a conference call, but subcommittee members and members of the public are welcome to attend in person at Room 340 at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem. -- The subcommittee will review the revised scope for the independent workforce study.
The task force was created by House Bill 4063, which names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more.
The agenda for all task force and subcommittee meetings will include time for public comment, which can also be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us.
