Hanley Road Closed for Jackson Creek bridge rail upgrade_ May212019

May 21, 2019                                                                                                    R3-13-19

MEDFORD – Hanley Road (Oregon 238) will be closed to through traffic between Rossanley Drive and West Main Street for up to five days and nights, beginning Sunday night, June 2 through Friday, June 7.

The full road closure is necessary so ODOT contractor Conway Construction can upgrade the bridge rails on the 1954 Jackson Creek culvert.

Through traffic must use alternate routes, although local traffic will be allowed. For instance, access to the OSU Extension Service will be from North Main Street and Hanley Farm from Rossanley Drive.

The Jackson Creek culvert rail replacement is part of an $898,000 project that also resurfaces the bridge deck on Little Butte Creek Bridge on Oregon 140 near Brownsboro and also strengthens the rails on that bridge.
