Seaside highway project to begin soon
Replaces separator island on U.S. 101 at 10th to 12th Avenue
SEASIDE—A contractor working for the Oregon Department of Transportation will be removing and replacing the traffic separator island on U.S. 101 between 10th Avenue and 12th Avenue in Seaside. The project is expected to begin in mid-May.
The project also includes the installation of temporary traffic control. The contractor will be conducting concrete pours at night with single lane closures from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning. During the daytime, when demolition takes place, the travel lanes will be shifted to accommodate traffic Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Travelers should expect delays. Variable message signs will be posted to warn travelers of the construction and potential delays.
Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will be available and identified through or around the work zones.
For updates on traffic, go to www.TripCheck.com or call 511.
