Full Weekend Closure of I-405 North to I-5 South Begins May 10
The following ramp will close 24/7 from 8 p.m.,Friday, May 10 to10 a.m., Monday, May 13:
I-405 north to I-5 south.
Signs will direct drivers to detour routes shown below.
DETOUR ROUTES
From I-405 North I-5 South:
Take I-5 north toward Seattle.
Take the Rosa Parks Way off-ramp (Exit 304).
Turn left onto Rosa Parks Way.
Turn left onto the Rosa Parks Way on-ramp to I-5 south.
From U.S. 30 or U.S. 26 to I-84 East:
Take I-405 south.
Take I-5 north toward Seattle.
Merge into right-hand lanes and take I-84 east (Exit 300).
OTHER TRAFFIC IMPACTS Saturday, May, 4 - Saturday, May 11
Ramp from I-405 north to I-5 south:
Nighttime closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, May 6 through Thursday, May 9 (detour shown on map above).
I-405 north left lane across the Fremont Bridge:
Nighttime closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, May 6 through Thursday, May 9.
24/7 closure from 8 p.m., Friday, May 10 to 5 a.m., Monday, May 13.
Local Roads:
Single lane 24/7 closure begins for construction equipment staging and work area on the N Kerby / N Cook on-ramp to I-405 south and lasts through fall 2020.

Construction is underway to repair and replace a number of freeway joints on the elevated sections of Interstate 405 on either side of the Fremont Bridge and from I-405 north to U.S. 26 west. These repairs will improve the condition and maintain the long-term safety and use of this heavily traveled freeway.
