OTC to meet Thursday in Salem

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its formal monthly meeting on Thursday, March 21, in the Gail Achterman Conference Room of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol Street NE, in Salem beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Agenda items include a progress report on implementing initiatives and projects under House Bill 2017 (Transportation Funding), and an update on legislative activities. Commissioners will be asked to approve the 2019 Statewide Transportation Infrastructure Condition Report, and will be updated on the Oregon State Rail Plan and development of the Oregon Highway – Railroad Crossing Safety Action Plan.

OTC members will discuss lessons learned from other states about tolling implementation, and receive a presentation about toll system development. Commissioners will discuss the next steps for action on proposed project plans for the Connect Oregon Dedicated Intermodal Facility projects.

Other items on the agenda include a discussion about the DMV’s Service Transformation Program, approval of the recruitment and hiring plan for the ODOT Director.
