Salem, Oregon – The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles has scheduled subcommittee meetings for its next round of work. 

The task force was created by House Bill 4063, which named 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and others. The group submitted its 2018 report to the Oregon Legislature on Sept. 11, 2018. 

The new subcommittees are scheduled to meet as follows:

  • Road and Infrastructure Design Subcommittee: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, Room 340 at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E., in Salem
  • Cybersecurity and Privacy Subcommittee: 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, Room 240 at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E., in Salem
  • Workforce Changes Subcommittee: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, Basement Room at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E., in Salem
  • Public Transit Subcommittee: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 at ODOT Building in Portland, 123 NW Flanders St. Room 244
  • Land Use Subcommittee: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at ODOT Building in Portland, 123 NW Flanders St. Room 244
  • Vehicle Code Amendments and Public Safety Subcommittee: 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, Room 440 at the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E., in Salem

Public comment can be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us, and the agenda for each subcommittee meeting will include time for comment as well.
