ODOT Begins U.S. 26 Paving and Rockfall Project
BEND – Beginning Monday, January 21, construction crews from Laduke Construction of Medford Oregon, under contract to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), will begin a highway improvement project on US26 on the Warm Springs Reservation, from milepost 99 to milepost 103. This $3.25 million project will repave this section of highway. The existing pavement will be ground out and new asphalt put down on the roadway and shoulders. Signs will be upgraded as necessary. These improvements will extend the life of the roadway and make the wearing surface safer for the traveling public. During construction motorists can expect:
The project is expected to wrap up in Summer of 2019. Where traffic is routed through or around this work zone, pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will also be provided routes through or around the work zone.
