Committee is charged with updating rules for bike/ped projects in the multimodal program

SALEM – The Pedestrian and Bicycle Connect Oregon Rules Advisory Committee will meet at 9 a.m., Jan. 16 at the Transportation Building, Gail Achterman Room, 355 Capitol St NE in Salem. Agenda items include discussions about definitions, program criteria, review process and more.

This is the second of several meetings planned for the committee, which is charged with updating Connect Oregon Administrative Rule Chapter 731 Division 35 to align with the legislative intent of Keep Oregon Moving (HB 2017), under ORS 367.080 to 089. The committee will set up the administrative process for the 7 percent of Connect Oregon funds allocated for pedestrian and bicycle projects. It will also advise on ways to streamline the application process.

The meeting is open to the public and accessible parking is available in front of the Transportation Building. Accommodations and/or materials in alternate format can be made available by calling 503-986-3556 or statewide relay, 7-1-1.
