Travelers should expected night delays as work continues on the Powell Blvd. Safety Project

PORTLAND -- ODOT will close lanes to pave sections of Southeast Powell Boulevard, U.S. 26, Monday and Tuesday nights, Jan. 14 and 15, as weather allows.
Travelers should expect delays.
- From 8 p.m. Monday Jan. 14 until 8 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 15, the right eastbound lane of Powell Boulevard will be closed between Southeast 21st and 34th
- From 6 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 15 until 5 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 16, one lane of westbound Powell Boulevard will be closed between Southeast 21st and 34th
When the eastbound lane is closed, the intersections on the south side of the street at 21st, 26th, 33rd and 34th avenues will also be closed. When the westbound lane is closed, the intersection on the north side of Powell Boulevard at 21st, 24th, 26th and 33rd avenues. Local access will remain open.
Bus stops in the work zone will remain open. Access to buses, including for people with disabilities, will be available. Buses will stop in the travel lane.
Next week’s work will pave areas adjacent to recent improvements, such as new sidewalk curb ramps and signals, part of the Powell Boulevard Safety Project.
