ODOT Seeks Input On US97/Terrebonne Improvements
BEND – The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Deschutes County are planning a project to address congestion and safety concerns along US97 in Terrebonne and are seeking input from local community members.
Due to increasing traffic, U.S. 97 and the Lower Bridge Way and “B” Avenue-Smith Rock Way intersections have become a challenge for the Terrebonne community. The Terrebonne Refinement Plan is an opportunity to plan and implement solutions to these challenges that meet local, regional and state transportation needs.
ODOT will be holding an Open House to present a preliminary recommendation about what to do and wants to hear from the community and US97 users about the possible improvements.
The Open House follows a workshop in September at which 130 attendees provided feedback about the plan, and additional community meetings at which proposed corridor improvements and highway alignment were presented.
