Slope cuts at the intersection of US 97 and Mud Hollow Road will cause delays up to 20 minutes beginning in January. Single lane closures and occasional full closures will be implemented in order for major earthwork activities to improve rock fall catchment and sight distance. This work will continue through March of 2019.
Bridge replacements on US 97 over Spanish Hollow Creek and Trout Creek are scheduled for completion by the Fall of 2019. The first half of this work was completed in 2018 and traffic has been directed over the new structure. Traffic signals are currently in place and will remain until bridge construction is complete.
Seismic retrofit work over Spanish Hollow Creek that began in 2018 will continue through 2019 and 2020. This portion of the project remains on schedule, including foundation upgrades at Milepost 3.11 and 3.25.
