Expect delays on I-5 north tonight and Tuesday night
Rolling slowdowns lasting 20 minutes will delay traffic along northbound Interstate 5 Monday and Tuesday nights, Nov. 19 and Nov. 20, while crews remove a sign bridge.
I-5 northbound slowdowns will start at 11 p.m. and end at 4:30 a.m. both nights, with delays beginning south of the Canby exit, near the French Prairie Rest Area. The slowdowns will give crews a sufficient work window to remove a sign bridge along I-5 between Canby and Nyberg Street. Pilot cars will slow vehicles down to 20 mph and lead drivers through the slowdown area. A trailer vehicle will travel one-half mile behind the last vehicle with a message board notifying traffic of the work/slowdown ahead.
During these hours, flaggers will intermittently control traffic at the following northbound I-5 on-ramps:
Canby on-ramp (exit 282) Wilsonville on-ramp (exit 283) Elligsen Road on-ramp (exit 286) Nyberg Street on-ramp (exit 289)
In addition, the following southbound on- and off-ramps will be periodically closed at night this week:
Exit 291/Carman Drive Exit 292/OR 217 Exit 290/Lower Boones Ferry Exit 289/Nyberg Street
The following northbound on- and off ramps will be periodically closed at night this week:
Exit 290/Lower Boones Ferry Exit 289/Nyberg Street
