Linn, Benton, Lincoln and Polk Counties state highway construction update: September 24-28
The Oregon Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system. ODOT invests in Oregon’s future through roadway improvement projects. The following are located in ODOT Region 2, Area/District 4, including projects in Linn, Benton, Lincoln, and Polk Counties. All work is dependent on weather conditions.

Linn County
US 20/ Sweet Home: Region 2 Sign Upgrades
This project will replace road signs along US 20 through Sweet Home and east near Foster Lake. Nighttime lane closures will be used to install new signs through Sweet Home. Work is expected to be completed by the end of September.

Benton County
US 20 / Philomath Blvd: Boulevard Apartments (Philomath) - Water/Sewer Line Work
Water and sewer line work along and across the highway for a proposed apartment complex. The project will include highway improvements of a new left turn lane and pedestrian crossing. Expect lane closures Sunday night through Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Benton/Polk County
OR 99W Monmouth – Lewisburg Paving
Crews are paving and striping the roadway between Monmouth and Lewisburg through September. Paving will be done north to south. After paving, rumble strips and striping will be completed. Night work Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Lincoln County
US101: Beverly Beach Drainage Improvement Project
A stormwater drainage system is being constructed. A temporary traffic shift is in place and the contractor has begun work on installing new drainage pipes. The majority of this work will take place off of the roadway. The Northbound right turn lane onto NE 123rd St is scheduled to be closed until early October. Expect minor delays. US101: Devil’s Lake Outlet, Schooner Cr & Siltcoos River Bridges
This project will include the following improvements at each of the three bridges:
- Repair damaged concrete
- Install zinc anodes to the structures to protect them from the harsh coastal climate
- Replace bridge railings to meet current crash standards
- Install steel and titanium rebar to strengthen bridges
Work will begin at the Devil’s Lake Outlet (D River) bridge in the next several weeks with the installation of a containment system underneath the bridge. Work under the bridge will be done during the day, while anything that requires closing a lane will be done at night. Work at the Devil’s Lake Outlet bridge is expected to last until the spring of 2020. Work at Schooner Creek bridge is expected to start in spring of 2019. Expect minor delays. Paving and patching
Crews will be paving and patching areas to fix areas of rough roads. Expect up to 20 minute delays.
