BEND – Workers for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be on the ground in Terrebonne starting Monday, September 24, for up to three days, looking into the suitability of land near Lower Bridge Way for a possible transportation project in the future.
In concert with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, field personnel will be checking into the feasibility of land at the southwest corner of the intersection of US97 and Lower Bridge Way for possible use as ODOT studies remedies for highway improvements there. Some of the crew members will be taking personal precautions while they are completing the site investigation.
The one-day site inspection will help formulate plans for a future project at the intersection, funded by House Bill 2017 which provides $20 million for project development and construction.
