Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles meets August 15

AV Task Force to vote on potential recommendations to legislature

Salem, Oregon – The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will meet Aug. 15 in Salem to discuss and vote on potential recommendations to the Oregon Legislature. 

The meeting is 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Aug 15 in Room 101 at the Chemeketa Center for Business & Industry, 626 High St. N.E., Salem, OR, 97301.

The task force was created by House Bill 4063, which names 31 stakeholders as members, including four legislators, state agency representatives, law enforcement, truck and automobile interests, technology company representatives, consumer interests, worker interests and more. The Task Force on Autonomous Vehicles will report to the legislature with recommendations for legislation by Sept. 15, 2018.

The agenda will include time for public comment, which can also be submitted via email to OregonAVTaskForce@odot.state.or.us.
